Skipper's Cedar Sitting Stool

 15 Dec 21:

Skipper requested a tall version of the John Gardner Shop Stool, to be made from cedar. So off to the local building supply to source some 1x12 boards, and then to the Carriage House to start making sawdust. We used our template and made the legs 16 inches.

Legs, top, side braces and center brace.

We round all of the edges except for those that mate with adjoining surfaces.

All screw holes are pilot drilled and countersunk for #10 x 1 1/2 inch silicone bronze wood screws.

Sides are attached to center brace, then side braces are attached.

We plan to cut slats in the seat, so the screw placement was changed a bit.

It was easier to install the seat then cut strips out, to make slats.

Finito.
