Trailer Tip

 01 Apr 22:

Our trailer Guru Eddie has built several custom trailers for our Armada, and he always bumps up axle strength a notch or two. One of the most common trailer problems he sees are bent axles, caused by boats being right at the rated load weight for the trailer axle.

For our Sorg Runabout, which weighs about 1200 pounds with boat, motor and trailer, Eddie selected a 2500 pound capacity axle. Eddie also checks the leaf springs, and when he feels the need he can take out a spring or two to get the best ride.

Eddie also upgraded us to radial tires, smooth ride and better gas mileage. LED lights, trailer guide posts.
