Deck paint and cockpit drying

Checked out Bud's deck paint today, it looks great!

There are a few bubbles and fuzz bumps, but those can be knocked down with some fine grit sandpaper after paint dries thoroughly. Going for great on the paint could be the evil of good here

The repaired area can still be seen, but that will be even less obvious once splashguard goes back onto the deck

  1. It really looks great. And I love the colour. It is relaxing and really complemented well on the colour of the sea. But how long did you the painting?

  2. I took a few hours to scuff the faded and crazed gelcoat with a random orbital sander, 220 grit. Then wiped with acetone. Rolled and tipped the deck with interlux Brightside Medium Blue, closed cell foam roller and Wooster brush. Is was happy with one coat, but a light sanding and another coat would have been great.
