We sanded the transom with 120 grit discs on a DeWALT 20V random orbital sander.

The skeg would fit through the DeWALT Tabletop Planer so we ran it through to remove excess epoxy and get the laminations smoothed out.

DeWALT 20V Brushless 5 Inch Random Orbital Sander

We bought a DeWALT 20V Brushless 5 Inch Random Orbital Sander to see if we liked sanding without the cord. It works great, very powerful with the 4ah or 5ah battery, it ran for a long time, but we need to find an adapter to hook our shop vac to the dust port.
