Signal Kilo Stool and Birdhouses

 19 Mar 22:

Used some spare boat paint today to finish up the shop stool and birdhouses. Here's the signal Kilo stool, for my first name initial.

There is some TotalBoat Wet Edge Black, White, Fire Red, Kingston Gray and Yellow in the mix, along with Interlux Brightside Largo Blue. We also got the North point painted.

Wheel Deck

 01 Mar 22:

We drew out the circle and 4 quadrants of our  Citizen Potawatomi Nation Medicine Wheel today and painted the outer circle. It was a lot of fun because Skipper of course had her hammock strung across part of the area where I wanted to draw, that's one of her happy places.

We used some TotalBoat Wet Edge single part polyurethane, a lovely color.

Alcort Super Sailfish ZSA ZSA 22 Mar 18 Prime, Fair, Paint and Epoxy MAterials

22 Mar 18:

We put in an order to Jamestown Distributors for materials to restore ZSA ZSA. We will need ring shank nails, thickened epoxy, fairing compound, primer, paint and rollers. We chose products from the TotalBoat line, which include THIXO, TotalFair, Topside Prime and Wet Edge Fire Red and Blue Glo White. JD always ships cups, gloves and paint sticks with their orders, and we use the boxes as mixing pallets for the fairing compounds and thickened epoxy. Another great deal is that TotalBoat ships free! If you prefer Pettit or Interlux, they sell their complete lines as well.

1980 AMF Sunfish Viper 11 Oct 17 Watched Paint Dry

11 Oct 17:

Went out to the carriage house today and it was like a sauna. Paint was very tacky. 100F heat index here in Florida with high humidity. Pulled the boat out into the sun for most of the day and the paint started to dry a bit. At the end of the day we kicked the car out of the garage and moved the boat inside, there are two window units out there that can produce some cooler, dryer air.
