We got an invite to bring some boats to the first Bagdad FL Riverfest. The park was built on the site of an old sawmill and has great access for canoes and kayaks. Our 1953 Sunfish Zip and 1950s Sailfish Winnie got to attend this year.
Road trip!
Our friend Murray brought his sailing canoe.
Fred brought his motor launch...
and his Penobscot 14...
and his Weekend Skiff...
Sydney worked on her scaled down Weekend Skiff.
A CLC 17 built by Richard was in attendance...
and Andy and Jeri brought out their Stauter 14 sSemi V.
It was a good time and we hope we get to go in 2017.

Sailing Madison and Wave
Took out Wave and Madison for a day sail. Winds were light and variable, temp 72 degrees. Wave is a 1965 boat with a converted rudder, Madison is an early 80s boat.
Seitech dolly makes it easy to move boat in and out of the water, especially with wider beach tires
Wave (L) has sailed Hawaii, Arizona, Texas and now Florida. Deck painted Interlux medium blue, hull Bluglo white. Madison is a Hurricane Ivan survivor and has sailed Texas and Florida, sail by Schurr Sails Florida.

Sailing Phoenix
Our Sunfish "Phoenix" was pretty dusty, so we rinsed her off and went for an afternoon sail!
Clearing the bow
Final approach
Waiting for the beach crew
The Skipper grew up sailing Corpus Christi Bay. Phoenix was a barn find that Captain Jack restored from just a hull.
