Lookback with ST. JACQUES

 13 Dec 20:

The fun thing about a blog is being able to look back a few years at the written record. Dec 2013 we were looking over Arch Davis' plans for our Penobscot 14 ST. JACQUES. We started off thinking she would have a gunter rig with a jib, and be painted white topside.

She ended up being sprit rigged tanbark sail, with Pettit EZPoxy Sea Foam Green on the hull with RustOleum Topside Oyster White Interior. Skipper has taken many a nap in her.

It seems like it took forever to get her to Sea Trials Spring of 2017, she waited patiently while many other restoration projects came and went, including the resurrection of BARBASHELA.

But now that she is finished, it seems like we've had her forever. We had her out just a few weeks ago, in quiet conversation with the bay.
