05 Oct 22:
The remnants of Hurricane Ian wandered by, bringing some wind and rain. 800 miles after making landfall in Florida. Ian wandered around like a drunken sailor, and during the first pass we had 3.4 inches of rain over 12 hours, but little wind at ground level, 13.6 mph. A few miles away the river shore and coastline was getting tropical storm force wind gusts. Ian decided to stumble offshore and reform into a tropical low, bringin Noreaster type winds with high tides to the Hampton Roads area for the next few days. No comparison however, to the devastating effects felt down in Florida.
The winds at around 100 feet peeled off some small limbs and a lot of leaves. Adios Ian.
