We use a string line for our boat yard build and beautification projects, to line up pavers, deck edges, centerlines, etc...Somewhere along the way I came across a tip to use a plastic water bottle to wrap up and store the line. I think we've had this for a decade plus, and it sees use in almost every project. Today it came down from the back of the Sunfish Shack, where we had been using it to align rafter ends.
