Skipper wanted a specific color scheme for EXCUSE ME, so I first thought about using VALSPAR Ultra 4000 again like we did on Barbashela. But BARBASHELA was going back to her indoor museum home, and EXCUSE ME is headed to the water. SO the best folks for custom color boat paints are the fine folks at George Kirby Jr. Paint Company in New Bedford Mass. Making paint since 1846, and George Kirby IV owns and operates the family business.
We called, George answered and Shari shipped. George mixed up the colors, which are Maynard Bray Off White, Fighting Lady Yellow and See Red. He also sent conditioner and primer, and a couple of t-shirts, in a nice burlap bag.
Excellent customer service, real folks answering the phone who are knowledgeable about their product, what a pleasure in today's market. Oh, and Kirby also sent a bar of pine tar soap, now my new favorite.
