In 1949 the only sailboat that ALCORT made was the Sailfish Sportabout. The Deluxe model sounds sweet, mahogany deck finished bright, varnished spruce sides, copper painted bottom, chrome deck edge trim. Nylon sail vs cotton and chromium hardware. Also interesting back then was that the sails had battens, they were derived from an Old Town canoe sail.
This brochure is part of our collection now, the oldest ephemera we have come across.
