We bought the August 1921 issue of The Rudder to see the article on the Chesapeake Bay Work Boat Championships. The 21st Century brain turned to page 18 expecting to see powered deadrise craft, but instead we got sent back to the time of open work canoes, bugeyes, skipjacks and open skipjacks.
