We had heard of Weldwood adhesive but did not know that back in the day they made plywood as well.
Another product we knew of was Firzite, it was used to seal fir plywood and help reduce checking. We've found a few Alcort wooden boats that had a coating of this description under the paint and primer, and it worked well.
