Kedge

 10 Jan 23:

Skipper bought a word of the day calendar so we could learn some new words this year. So we chuckled when today's new word was kedge, something we're familiar with and luckily have never had to do.


I really think kedge should be defined as v: a maritime activity to occupy one's time on a grounded ship until the tide rises. See also "daily ration."
