Tha cover for the 2025 WoodenBoat calendar was an Abaco Dinghy, and it was also the January boat. We'll keep those pages as reference for our restoration of the Bahamas Dinghy HENNING, esppecially for rigging.
The description of the keel length to beam width to transom width ratios is interesting, we'll have to check HENNING to see how she measures up...She is 120 inches long but the keel is just a little over 96 inches, 48 inches on the beam and 36 inches at the transom. Pretty much the traditional formula mentioned.
I've been reading about "wagon boats" used during the American Revolution, and think that this qualifies...
